Ashlene McFadden started dancing at the age of four with the McLaughlin School, Glasgow. During her competitive career, Ashlene placed top ten at the World, All-Ireland, All-Scotland, Great Britain and British National Championships as a solo competitor. She also holds 25 World Championship medals for céilí, figure and dance drama. After completing a Masters degree in Pharmacy, from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Ashlene began touring worldwide with the show Celtic Legends, performing as principal female and also acting as dance captain. In 2010, Ashlene undertook a Masters in Dance Performance at the IWAMD. Since graduating with a first class honours Ashlene has worked with a number of shows including Noctu, in which she was privileged enough to perform the lead role, off-broadway New York, in 2011. In addition to performing with other shows such as Ragus, Irish Celtic, Damhsa and the Rite of Spring, Ashlene was also dance researcher for Series 4 of the TG4 hit Irish dance talent show, Jig Gig. Ashlene is currently based in Dublin and performs regularly with Damhsa for corporate events and with ‘Belvedere Irish Nights’.
